Moving...

Yep, we're moving! Charlie got a permanent job offer in WI and we have found a house we adore and have made an offer on it and are in the process of getting all the paperwork completed.

When Savannah and I visited last we went house hunting but I never thought anyting would become fruitious from it. It was a lot of fun and we instantly knew when we found this lovely 5 bedroom manor. We love the yard, the floor plan and of course the space...bigger bedrooms! I don't know what to do with myself but will get used to it I'm sure.

If all goes well we're planning to get "partially" moved in the week Savannah would need to start school. I say partially in that I would be going to help move and see her off to school her first week and then I'm afraid I must return to UT to work and wait until our house here is sold.

I'm so nervous, sad, excited, anxious, and impatient all at the same time! What will be the best part though is when we are all finally together again!

Flowers...the way to a girl's heart!

What to my surprise but to get a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to my work! I just love flowers and of course my husband knows this.
I guess the statement I made the other day about loving to work in the flower beds must have got him to thinking.

Savannah as you can see fell in love with them too. She asked if she could make a bouquet out of the roses to put in her room. What a nice surprise! Now if only I could transplant them into my flower beds!

Hotter than the 4th of July!

Or not. This 4th was very cool in fact. I bought a pool but didn't bother to set it up. It did get a bit warmer in the afternoon, but not what I'm used to. I invited family over for a typical BBQ at my house. Somethings have changed throughout the years; Not all of us kids were there. Mom doesn't make her potato salad - someone else will. The corn now comes from the stand instead of dad's garden. The root beer isn't home made by Grandpa Johnson. And last, I forgot the "wah-wah lemon" - oops.

And even though times changed over the years at our "family fish frys", it doesn't mean we don't thoroughly enjoy ourselves. We still love to all talk at the same time. The guys and girls seperate to talk guy talk and girl talk. We still reminisce about years past of our memories. We still love our steak medium rare.

I'd have pictures for you but my camera is temporarily in Green Bay. We visited and passed around Kelby, sang happy birthday to Kinley who just turned 5 a few days prior, and just really enjoyed each other's company. Those of us that do still get together, we don't do so but a few times a year it seems. Bear was very happy too, he loves people. After dark my family and Matt's family finished the night with of course fireworks. The girls were so excited I think they beat the competition for being louder than the fireworks!

Thanks all for coming over! I hope you had a great time!

Changes

I was once called Tulabell by a friend at work - however it really isn't who I am - there was really no reasoning why she called me by this nick name other than it started with a "T". I just don't think it fits what I want here any longer. I really never identified myself as "Tulabell" but it was a cute little name that no one else used when I began blogging. So don't be surprised to see some upcoming changes here...
