The transition from moving from Utah to Wisconsin continues. Homesickness has come and gone for all of us...for now that is. Speaking for myself I do okay as long as I am busy and have some idea of what the future holds. A lot of this has to do with working...I know I felt so inclined to take the time to be more a stay at home mom but my mental stability is more important at this time and we still have not sold our house in Utah.
I know this will be a long process but am ready for the challenge. Jake and Charlie's work is pretty steady, Savannah has so many friends that she has been at birthday parties the last two months non-stop. I am still in pursuit of where I belong however. I have the opportunity to work part time permanently where I am now, but am unsure it is the best fit for many reasons. I did apply for a part time county job that would have fit greatly with the part time job I'm at now allowing me to collectively work full time but I am afraid that didn't come through. I still have hope yet and have applied for many more jobs.
Just like we've learned about the the weather here - old piles of snow gone and melted (finally!) and giving hope to spring just to make way for another batch, so is the seasons of change and growth in life. I find this journey is still just a beginning, even when I look back to where we were a year ago. I am not sure what is in store for us here in Wisconsin, but do know we are where we are supposed to be.
In fact Charlie met up with an old band mate, I see a lot of happiness come through those eyes that I haven't seen in a long time. He really enjoys being to connect musically with people and, well, its been a long time for him. I have yet to meet them, and am nervous but also excited too.
I am very thankful for my husband, children, and my pets. I really love having them in my life. I only hope to meet my grandson soon and possibly have him come live at my house if all goes well!

Has it already been 7 years?
9 friends, two cheese pizzas, and a dozen cupcakes later celebrating Savannah's 7th year was a success. We were originally going to have it out at the bowling alley or at Chuck E Cheese but then I remembered that we had plenty of room in our new house! How could I forget that? Probably years of not having room is my guess.
Savannah and I had a lot of fun decorating the dining room and when the girls got here they had fun running around the house with their high pitched screams playing hide and seek. A few of them were so sad to have to go when their moms came to get them that they were crying, so it must have been a bunch of fun! We had pizza and Kool Aid, decorated our own cupcakes, opened presents, played Twister and pin the tail on the pony...all the fun stuff! After the party we headed to the mall to Build a Bear and McDonalds, you know...all the kid hangouts.
Yep, my little girl is 7 years old now, not sure where the time went, but she sure has grown a lot this past year.
